Campfire Church? Campfire Church!

This month in the newsletter: Campfire Church, Brunch Church, Pride, and worship together, oh my!

Join us for Campfire (Dinner) Church!

5pm on August 23rd at Schoeneck Moravian Church in Nazareth - campfire is weather permitting, but worship is rain or shine. We'll worship together around the table, and enjoying hanging out. Bring your instrument if you want to play along!

Celebrating Brunch Church

On August 3rd, Manna joined Calvary Moravian Church in Allentown to worship together over a light brunch. While we enjoyed the food and fellowship, we also wrestled with a challenging scripture, and wondered together about how each of us can be honest with ourselves and God, especially when life feels particularly painful.

Thank you to Rev. Mikayla and the Calvary community for the opportunity to worship together!

Lehigh Valley Pride - August 30th

Each year, a group of Moravian congregations in the Lehigh Valley gather to attend Pride at Steel Stacks - this year the festival is on August 30th from 1-7pm. We'll be there to share water, stickers, and glitter blessings and to proclaim our message of 'in all things, love' for all people!

We'd love to see you. If you're attending the festival, please be aware that this year there is a $5 entrance fee, which will waived if you bring a donation of toiletries for New Bethany.

Volunteers will have their entrance fee covered. Please click here to sign up if you want to volunteer! If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out via email to pastor@mannabethlehem.com and I'll get back to you as quickly as I can!

The Lectionary Lounge Podcast

Did you know that Pastor Byrnese and Pastor Mikayla from Calvary Moravian in Allentown have a weekly podcast exploring the scripture texts worship? We chat about some of the themes we see in the texts, and the ways they intersect with the world around us as well as our communities. You can find us on all the major podcasting platorms, but here's a link to apple podcasts, and spotify.
